Bluetooth App-Enabled Pedometers - Going Mobile

By November 5, 2012

Follow me on:

Striiv Play PedometerI've been wearing as many as five different pedometers at a time to produce reviews. The latest crop includes those that use Bluetooth to sync to a cell phone app. I love that, as I've had trouble with my pure cell phone apps going nutsy when the GPS signal is weak. They say I've done 1-minute miles and I doubt I deserve to make the record books. I also forget to log off the app before I take off for home in my car, which really brings down my minutes-per-mile. The Bluetooth-enabled pedometers are more reliable.

Thanks for your insightful reviews.
I am so looking forward to seeing what you make of Misfit’s debut, coming out real soon.
Watch out for an all metal activity tracker, totally wireless (no buttons, no cables, no Bluetooth pairing, no charging docks).
It is tiny and elegant. You may even want it for your necklace pendant.

Once again, thanks and we’ll be back shortly with more news.

Hi again,

So we just launched the Shine – a tiny, elegant, all-metal activity tracker that can sync w/ an iPhone just by placing it on the screen.
It’s pretty amazing – see the video: http://www.misfitwearables.com/shineisout
