10 Worst Marathon Mistakes

This weekend is the annual New York City Marathon. A lot of runners and walkers will be putting their training and preparation to the test. After seven marathons and countless half marathons, I think I've made every mistake in the book. I list my top 10 marathon mistakes and you can join in to tell us about your worst marathon or half marathon mistake?

The walker in front has committed one of the top mistakes - she is wearing capris rather than shorts. I made that mistake once and regretted it for the final six hot, miserable miles.
