Wendy's Uncanny Chili

Wednesday October 22, 2008
I've been trying to use more fresh ingredients in my recipes since reporting on concerns about bisphenol A in the lining of cans and the plastic of some water bottles and food containers. For yesterday's chili cook-off at work, I made a version of my crockpot chili that used all fresh or dried ingredients -- no cans! I have oodles of local farm tomatoes on hand as the frost hasn't yet hit us, plus green peppers and hot peppers. I even tossed in a bunch of tomatillos. Chili is a great healthy and hearty meal to warm you up after a good walk. It makes great leftovers to take for lunches or freeze. Wendy's Crockpot Chili Recipe.
Follow it up with Caramel Apple Cider for dessert.
