Spring Shoe Love - New Balance 790

'Tis Spring, and my young girl's fancy turns to love. Actually, it's more like my toes that are loving this pair of New Balance 790 trail running shoes. Not that I run on trails. But these shoes have all of the elements of a great walking shoe - flat, flexible, no big honking flared heel. They are extremely lightweight, so you can walk fast in them or run the trail. After three days, I ordered a second pair, a men's version to get the black with gray trim combo. Now I have to go buy some raspberry-colored shirts that will match the trim on the women's version. You may ask (after you read the full review) why I only give them 4 of 5 stars if I love them so much. They get demerits for not being available in wide or narrow, and for slipping on wet surfaces. I don't know if I'll wear them much on trails, I love them for everyday walking.
