Small Feet, Big Feet, Wide Feet, Narrow Feet

Saturday July 22, 2006
Are your feet hard to fit? Many walkers have the agony of hard to fit feet. Our Guide to Shoes has found the best places to shop for hard to fit feet.
  • Small Feet: Since I come from a family noted for big feet, I hadn't considered the plight of those who wear under size 5. Women's Small Shoes | Men's Small Shoes
  • Wide Feet: The wide-footed especially have challenges with athletic shoes, as many top manufacturers don't make them in widths. One exception is New Balance, which come in narrow and wide. Women's Wide Shoes | Men's Wide Shoes
  • Narrow Feet: If your walking shoes have a sloppy fit, you will get more blisters and black toenails. Women's Narrow Shoes
  • Large Feet: Mom was always lamenting trying to find her shoe size and telling me how lucky I was to have "small feet" at size 7.5. Women's Large Size Shoes
  • Search for Hard to Fit Shoes: This tool at Shoebuy.com is very useful for finding whether what you want is available. You can search by shoe style (such as walking or running) combined with width, size, and other factors. Shoe Search at Shoebuy.com
