Natural Energy Bars

Wednesday May 24, 2006
ProBarI'm not the granola type, but when the ingredient list looks like a chemlab experiment, you begin to wonder. My walking buddies and I sampled natural energy bars with simple ingredient lists you can understand - fruits, nuts, seeds. The result are bars without weird off-tastes from the additives and attempts to make palm oil taste like chocolate. These will all provide you energy during a long walk. I also judge them for walking - how easily do they chew, do they hold up in your fanny pack or become a pile of crumbs and melted goo? Photo © Wendy Bumgardner 2006
