Here in Netherlands a new way of walking gets more and more popular. It is said it burns much more calories than normal or sport walking and is a complete walkout for the whole body.
It is called here nordic walking and it is with two sticks.
It is a bit related to cross country skiing. It origins from Scandinavia and becomes more and more popular here.

Albert – it’s good to hear that nordic walking is continuing to grow in popularity. I have a step-by-step guide on nordic walking and I enjoy nordic walking myself. At our Discovery Walk Festival April 28-30 in Vancouver, Washington USA we are giving LEKI pins to all nordic walkers. Also, for our walk logo for next year we feature a nordic walker.

The thing that this Steps Across America is saying is to walk with a pedometer…it’s cool to track yourself and keep beating yestereday’s total steps!
