Is your New Year's walking resolution to walk a half-marathon or marathon in 2006? I have tutorials on how to train for and walk marathons and half-marathons. The key to success is to start now and to be consistent in increasing your longest walk each week. Before you start serious marathon training, you must be able to walk for 2 hours/6 miles comfortably. If you are just starting from zero, aim first for a half-marathon in six months.
