Carnival of the Walkers #20

Saturday November 12, 2005
Great Exercises: I love working out on an exercise ball so that I am improving my core and balance as well as toning my muscles. The GetFitSource.com blog has these videos of dumbell workout on an exercise ball I and II. These look fun, especially if you are a multi-tasker.
Foot and ankle strengthening exercises from the Happy Feet blog.
Half Way There: Steve Vaught, the Fat Man Walking is now over half way to his destination, half way across the USA, over 1400 miles walked. Wow! He's lost 73 pounds, too.
Racewalker vs. Samarai: What happens when a world record holding racewalker finds himself being chased by samarai? Jefferson Perez gets "punked". Does he racewalk or run away?
One Hour Racewalk: How far can you walk in one hour? If you're a racewalker, try the USATF 1 Hour Racewalk Championship December 3rd, 2005, Jacksonville, FL.
Singles Hiking: Via the Pitch a Story link, I got this profile of the Harriman Hikers of New Jersey, a singles hiking group. I don't want to ever be single again, but if I were this would be the kind of club to enjoy - doing active things.
