Nordic walking uses fitness walking poles to turn your regular walking into a full body workout. It tones your upper body as well as your lower body. As a bonus, you burn more calories per mile yet feel like you are not exerting yourself any more than usual. I enjoy nordic walking as the poles also relieve strain on the hips, knees, and ankles.
